If we want our children to be life-long learners, it helps if we take on new adventures ourselves from time to time. I set out to learn the world of farm animals in 2015, when we moved to a 2-acre hobby farm in Riverside, CA. And I've been a student of nature every day since. My morning barnyard chores breathe life and energy in me; evenings outside on the farm are my favorite part of the day. When the kids are having a rough time inside, I send them out to hold a baby goat, water the garden, or watch Tilly our tortoise slowly munch lettuce leaves. It is amazing how animals and nature can teach us, inspire us, and heal us! I am so excited to share our animals, daily learning, and little piece of nature with your family!
Iris Farms operates as a parent on-site child care center. Parents are free to work on-site, or learn right alongside your child.
